AG Holding & Co and Campbell Constructions Client Journey Part One

‘Trent was looking for a factory that just wasn’t in the market anywhere. I presented him with the idea of building something new and he wasn’t averse. We worked on a location and I found a block of land in Carrum Downs. I didn’t know what it was being used for or what the plans were, so I approached to the landlord, Adam Campbell, director of Campbell Constructions, who I had worked with in the past on a number of order jobs,’ says Murray.

Adam was on board, and so the planning began. A draftsman prepared plans and supporting documentation to help establish a building contract and to ensure the design intention was met. The plans were then presented to the council to get a permit and the agreement was signed.

The project by Campbells Constructions, which is now nearing completion, consists of a custom facility measuring 3,592sqm in size and will consist of large warehouse spacing, office accommodation and multiple roller doors. The new headquarters will facilitate the expansion of AG Holding & Co and allow them to increase their service offering.

‘I was involved right throughout the process, although there wasn’t a lot to negotiate in terms of the build and the inclusions. We knew what the guidelines were, and it met everyone’s expectations,’ says Murray. Murray successfully negotiated a pre-lease deal to satisfy all parties, including an option to buy in the contract.

‘AG Holding & Co have signed a 7-year lease with a further 5 year term. They have the option to purchase in the first two years at a predetermined term and price in the lease.’
